“Beat the cold with a bit of fun and a run” is the message from Melbourne

On a chilly morning Melbourne University hosted Australia’s Run 24-1 with runners from age 7 to 70. The mile took the early morning runners around the track, past the swimming pool, around the football ovals, past the colleges and then around the tennis courts with a final lap of the track.  Melbourne University Athletics Club runner Nick Parkinson said: “We just did our 1 mile for the global IAAF Run 24-1. It’s nice for us to get out and have a 9am run on a Sunday to beat the cold with a bit of fun and a run.”  Even the dancers took time off their routines to share the message.
